Wow! So much has happened since the last time that I blogged that I have no idea where to start. First and foremost, we have a new addition in our house. Yes, that's right our sweet baby boy finally decided to make his appearance on September 21st. However, I am so far behind on posting that I will do a separate post for him and his birth. So, I will start out with Cody's graduation.

The last month or so of paramedic school for Cody seemed to drag on forever. Both him, Maddy, and I were so ready for him to be done so that we could all spend time together again. So, one night while Cody was gone Maddy and I made a chain so that we could count down the days until he was finally done. Here she is one of the nights taking another link off the chain.

It seemed to take forever but finally Cody graduated. Here are some pictures from that day. Cody we are so proud of you! He worked and studied so hard. The best news is that he is only a few classes off from his bachelors degree now which he plans to finish up in the next couple semesters.

Getting the diploma.

A quick family picture from the day. Man I'm glad to have that belly gone now! :)

A few weeks ago we decided to take a quick trip to the zoo. Here Maddy and Cody are ridding the carousel. Oh and when I say that they are both ridding the carousel I mean literally. I am not sure if you can tell by the pic but Cody is ridding the jaguar in the back. I couldn't help but laugh every time they came around.

Maddy LOVES elephants. She was so excited to get to ride one. Here they are waving to mommy as they come past.

They had some cute horses there to ride. Two of Maddy's favorite things. She was in heaven!

We took a short trip to the lake one day. Here she is getting ready to go for a swim.

She is a really creative little stinker. I brought a life jacket for her to wear, however this is how she decided to use it...... as a flotation device.

My sister Liz came to help me out with baby's room one day and here is a picture of Alora giving Maddy a ride on her trike, so funny.

We went to Wheeler Farms one of the days. Here Maddy is feeding the ducks, or quack quacks as she calls them.

I refinished a bunch of furniture for the baby's room. Pretty much immediately after I had painted, Maddy went in and scratched a bunch of the paint off! I was so mad. I like how she left behind the ad she had been looking at as evidence.

Here is the baby's finished room. As you can see after much deliberation, we came up with his name...... Jake.
